A walk through Barri Gotic

Barri Gotic / The Gothic Quarter

As I wandered around in this beautiful area, I finally found the Barcelona I have been looking for. Here lies the heart and the spirit of this amazing Catalan city. I've gathered some snapshots of the most fascinating spots I came over. One that made a huge impression on me, was a smaller church scarred by gunfire. During an invasion a long time ago, men, women and even children were forced to face the walls of this church just to drop dead moments later. Quite a contrast from the little oasis this spot is today. As you can see in one of the pictures underneath, some artists were making plaster casts of these walls this evening. Interesting project.

However, I have only touched the very surface; yet I have much to discover of this mysterious part of the Old Town of Barcelona.
