This morning I woke up in my bed in my parents' house, just like I have the past 20 years. I got dressed, had breakfast and now I'm about to leave the house. It will be an unusually long day, and a special one indeed. You see, this very day will forever change my life as I know it, and all I plan to do is sit on my arse and do basically nothing. That is, mostly waiting. Wondering about the strange fact that when I wake up tomorrow, everything will have changed.
My bed won't be where it used to be. My breakfast won't taste at all like it did this morning, and the world outside my door will be greater than I could ever imagine. Because by the end of today, I will rightfully call New York City my home. Manhattan, to be exact.
I'll forever be the small town girl who took the midnight train going anywhere.
Or at least the Norwegian Dreamliner going to JFK Airport.
But all of that still awaits. Let's get these 40 kg bags checked in.
