5 Daily Smells of New York City

Smells are a part of the New York City experience, whether you like it or not! Some are welcomed, others not so much. Living here, you'll smell stuff no human being should ever have to be close to from time to time. But hey, no one is perfect, not even the Big Apple!

Gyros. Whether on Wall Street, Times Square or in Central Park, vendors are feeding hungry New Yorkers gyros and kebab from their food carts.

Wet coats. On a rainy, the train smells like ten wet dogs just walked in.

Pumpkin spiced everything. America's got pumpkin fever in the fall. We've all heard about the famous pumpkin spiced latte, had a pumpkin muffin or even pumpkin martinis. But pumpkin spiced salmon rolls on the sushi menu is a little too much, don't you think?

Garbage. Putting your garbage out on the streets when it's not garbage day is a felony, and it's easy to smell why.

Weed. I never actually see this, but I smell it every single day in the least expected places!

Have you been to NYC? Do you agree?
